In the period 24-28.04.2023. In Mostar, at the Buna Hotel, the second workshop was held as part of the Agripreneur project. During the five-day workshop, the participants together with mentors worked on the development of their project idea, which was defined at the previous workshop in Bijeljina.
At the workshop in Mostar, lecturers from the North Carolina Steta University, who shared their experience in working with young people in America in the field of agricultural production, took a significant part. Lecturers from the USA put special emphasis on the possibility and importance of developing agritourism in small households. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn about practical examples of the use of ICT in agriculture (greenhouses) presented by representatives of the NGO GirlThink. Participants had the opportunity to hear information about product branding, digital marketing, communication skills and legal aspects of setting up a business and keeping accounting records.
A three-member jury consisting of Meliha Gekić Lerić, president of the „SARA“ Association for Cooperation and Development from Mostar, Ivica Sivrić, director of the Association for Economic Development „Redah“, Mostar and assistant professor Alisa Hadžiabulić, acting. dean of the Agricultural Mediterranean Faculty of the University “Džeml Bijedić” in Mostar chose the best project idea called “Food for All”. The winners were awarded with a value check of 1000 KM, which is a donation from the sponsor of the company “Rapić” from Gradiška. In addition to working in the hotel, the participants also had field activities on the territory of Mostar.
The continuation of activities on the project is expected at the end of June with the final meeting to be held in Banja Luka.
